Matthew C. Sorg

Matt is a partner and spends the majority of his time providing legal services for all types of domestic relations matters. Matt routinely handles dissolutions, divorces, legal separations, custody disputes, child support matters, property division, prenuptial agreements, and parental rights. He has practiced this area of law for over 20 years.

Matt also routinely acts as a court-appointed Receiver in commercial foreclosure situations. Matt has been appointed as Receiver throughout Southern Ohio in over 100 cases and ten counties. His substantial experience in Receivership law has made him one of the leading attorneys in this practice area. Other business services that Matt regularly provides include helping small businesses with formation, growth strategies, and purchasing and selling agreements. He also has extensive experience with administrative law issues surrounding liquor establishments.

Another portion of Matt’s time is spent on Civil Litigation matters. He spends a considerable amount of time counseling clients about how to be proactive and minimize the risk of litigation. In addition, when disputes arise, he will guide clients through dispute resolution processes such as mediation and negotiation.

Matt is a member of the Miami County Bar Association, the Dayton Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association and is a Life Fellow of the Ohio State Bar Foundation and a current board member for Artemis Center.
