Before joining Dungan & LeFevre in 2011, Mr. Justice worked as a litigation partner with the law firm of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP. Mr. Justice currently practices both civil litigation and criminal defense litigation.

With respect to civil litigation, Mr. Justice handles cases in the areas of business/commercial litigation, contract disputes, employment and non-competition agreement disputes, construction matters, environmental matters, real estate and zoning disputes, personal injury, toxic tort, product liability, probate litigation, and civil rights litigation. Mr. Justice has class action experience in single and multi-district litigation, and he has a wealth of experience with electronic discovery. With respect to environmental matters, Mr. Justice has represented clients facing civil claims and/or criminal charges involving air emissions, wastewater management, CERCLA cost recovery, disposal of hazardous substances or medical/infectious waste, solid waste landfills, and disposal of controlled substances.

With respect to criminal defense work, Mr. Justice represents individuals or companies facing criminal charges, whether felonies or misdemeanors, under federal or state law.
Mr. Justice also represents and advises numerous churches and religious organizations with respect to all aspects of their legal affairs. As a former pastor and seminary graduate, Mr. Justice is uniquely qualified to understand the legal needs and issues that churches and religious organizations face.

By virtue of his extensive litigation experience, Mr. Justice has expanded his practice to include alternative dispute resolution services. Mr. Justice serves as a mediator or arbitrator to resolve civil disputes and avoid the significant costs associated with litigation and trial. Mr. Justice received his mediation and negotiation training at the prestigious Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at the Pepperdine University School of Law. He privately mediates both federal and state court lawsuits, and he mediates disputes that have not progressed to formal litigation.

Mr. Justice is a 1981 graduate of Anderson University, a 1987 graduate of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and he received his law degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 1994. Mr. Justice served as a law clerk for the Honorable Nathaniel R. Jones of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit from 1994-1995. Mr. Justice is admitted to the bars of the State of Ohio, the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio.

Mr. Justice is a member of the Federal Bar Association, serving as the 2016-17 President of the Dayton Chapter and as the National Coordinator for the FBA’s SOLACE Program (“Support of Lawyers/Legal Personnel All Concern Encouraged”). Mr. Justice also is a member of the Ohio, Dayton and Miami County Bar Associations.

In 2015 and 2017, the Dayton Chapter of the Federal Bar Association presented Mr. Justice with the Federal Service Award in recognition of his work on behalf of the federal courts and the federal government. In 2017, Mr. Justice was awarded a Special Presidential Commendation from the Federal Bar Association for his service and commitment to the Federal Bar Association and its Members.
In 2016, Mr. Justice was certified as a Lawyer of Distinction, and he is rated AV Preeminent, the highest peer rating standard for attorneys, by Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Justice resides in Troy, Ohio with his wife, Susan.
